A Night With Oscar

24 Feb

It’s Hollywood’s biggest night!  It’s time for the 85th Annual Academy Awards, and I am more excited to watch the Oscars than ever.  Being in Los Angeles during awards season is pretty exciting.  It’s neat to know where the red carpet is set up and to have been to the (recently re-dubbed) Dolby Theatre where the awards will take place.  I am also more excited to watch because I have seen almost every nominated film.

We’ve had lots of conversations about the incredible films that have come out this year and we certainly have opinions on which films should win and which films will.  Here are our predictions for the big 6 that everyone is waiting for:

Joanna

  • Best Picture: Argo
  • Best Director: Steven Spielberg, Lincoln
  • Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis, Lincoln
  • Best Actress:  Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook
  • Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz, Django Unchained
  • Best Supporting Actress:  Anne Hathaway, “Les Miserables”

Daniel

  • Best Picture: Argo
  • Best Director: Steven Spielberg, Lincoln
  • Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis, Lincoln
  • Best Actress:  Jennifer Lawrence, Silver Linings Playbook
  • Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz, Django Unchained
  • Best Supporting Actress:  Anne Hathaway, “Les Miserables”

Okay… so, we apparent;y have the exact same predictions. (Not planned).  Haha… I guess we’ll see if we’re right!! Dan and I will be cozying up on the couch to watch the red carpet interviews, be thrilled and outraged over the winners, and laugh through the after show with Jimmy Kimmel.  I couldn’t be more excited to spend the evening at home!

Happy Oscar Night!
